Trip to the British Music Experience

I had never visited the O2 Arena before so I was looking forward to seeing it as much as I was the exhibition. As usual I went photo crazy and took 60 photos before I had even reached the British Music Experience area!

We had already thought about some of the possible places we could promote the exhibition before we came here, but we were surprised to see (or not see) the only place that the exhibition was being advertised was right outside the O2 Arena once you'd arrived at Greenwich tube station. If you weren't already visiting, there would be no way of actually knowing it existed. After seeing how good the exhibition actually was and thoroughly enjoying looking round it for 3 hours, I was disappointed with the lack of effort from the current campaign. This has spurred us on even more than before and opened up the broader possibilities of where we could get our material and designs for the B.M.E noticed.

Here is the current campaign outside the O2:

Other possible places that we have thought of could be:
  • Posters in the tube stations, further afield from Greenwich
  • Designs on the floor of the underground leading to the exhibition
  • Designs in the semi-circle areas on the floor of the underground where buskers are allowed to play their music
  • Train stations, airports, tourist centres to attract a wider audience
  • On bags/promotional material at gigs/music festivals
  • Billboards - print & digital form
