Colour tests

 I have digitalised my type drawings to practice with applying colour to decide which ones I want to work on and which 'style' would work as a set of book cover designs. The idea that it should fit in with the typical look of the chick lit genre, yet stand out with a design that has that extra edge to it is still the way I want to go with this brief. For example, I have been taking the typical colours and fonts that are often used - soft, pastel, feminine colours and swirly, script fonts - and mixing them up with a hand drawn look to produce a design that will stand out. There are a few that work and many that don't on the posts below, but I will use those that do to narrow down my ideas and carry on experimenting.
